About

I am a Belfast based Director Of Photography with a strong creative eye, honed over years of creating images, both in film and photography.

Telling stories through images is something i never lose excitement for. Working as a DP I’ve shot a full range of projects from Features, TV series, Short Films (Drama and Doc), Music Videos and Commercials as well as a couple of Virtual Production projects.

Bulding my feature length portfolio Ive shot 2 feature films, most recently Our House (2025) directed by Peter Young and funded by NI Screen and in 2024 Housejacker directed by Rian Lennon.

In 2025 I worked again with Rian, shooting his acclaimed TV comedy series Funboys for BBC3

Music videos have always been an enjoyable part of the job for me, having freedom to experiment and move freely with the camera is something I feel I specialise in. Working with directors such as Ellius Grace, Niamh Bryson and Tearjerker (Ronan Corrigan & Hope Kemp) I have built a portfolio of videos for artists as diverse as Sloucho, The Academic and Kingfishr.

Growing up helping out in the darkroom I love the feel of shooting on film. In 2025 I worked with artist Emily McFarland to produce installation piece Pollanroe Burn for The Void gallery including 3 films shot entirely on 16mm. As well as music videos, I also shot a series of 16mm mini Doc projects (Blood Sweat & Years) for director Ross McClean and Titanic Distillers. I own and operate an Arri SR2 Super 16mm kit, including a set of Zeiss 16mm SuperSpeeds. (Available for rental)

Shooting a diverse mix of short films has allowed me to work with some fantastic emerging directors. Everything Looks Simple From A Distance was awarded the Lumi Prize while shorts Prints and Playing Peter premiered in competition at Galway Film Fleadh.

From the time ive spent working in the industry i have built good relationships with local rental houses and have experience with most Digital cinema systems along with grip equipment from Ronins to Technocranes. My experience working on large scale Film/TV as an assistant helps inform decisions i make in my projects, from understanding how stunts and fights work best to what can make a location work best for a project.

I’m always around to chat through a project, whatever the budget or backing.
